The name says it all: For us, production isn’t something that takes place behind closed doors—it’s visible, audible, and tangible— industrial flair instead of the typical conference room setting. This combination of ongoing 3D printing production and a high-quality event venue makes the Gläserne 3D Fabrik a bridge between industry and the public: a place where business, education, and curiosity come together.
The Gläserne 3D Fabrik is operated by Rapidobject GmbH, a 3D printing company based in Leipzig. The concept was initiated by Managing Director Petra Wallasch —with the idea of making professional 3D printing production accessible to the public for the first time, allowing visitors to experience it live and up close. Spanning over 1,600 square meters, more than 60 3D printers are in continuous operation, producing components for industrial customers in real time—visible through glass walls, right next to conference, training, and event spaces.
