General information about the course:
The "3D printing compact - shape your future" training course aims to provide participants with sound basic knowledge in the field of additive manufacturing and thus optimally prepare them for the use of this innovative technology in their everyday work. The content is divided into three consecutive modules, each comprising 40 teaching units of 45 minutes each. Modules 1 and 2 are taught online in 2 weeks, module 3 takes place in presence in one week at Rapidobject GmbH in Leipzig.
Course overview:
The course is divided into 3 modules.
Module 1: 3D printing processes and materials
In this module, participants learn about various 3D printing processes and find out about the advantages, possible applications and limitations of the respective technologies. In addition, different materials are presented and compared in terms of their properties and processing options. Finally, an initial insight into quality assessment and assurance is provided.
Module 2: Process chain of additive manufacturing
The focus of the second module is on the entire process chain in the field of additive manufacturing. Practical examples are used to show how a 3D printing project can be successfully implemented, from the initial idea to design and post-processing, but also with regard to business considerations. This gives participants a comprehensive overview of the process and enables them to apply what they have learned in a targeted manner.
Module 3: 3D printing in practice
The third module is primarily dedicated to the practical application of the basic knowledge learned previously. Participants deepen their knowledge through practical exercises on the printer and learn to recognize and solve typical challenges. Particular attention is paid to the real day-to-day work in additive manufacturing, so that an all-encompassing understanding of the industrial use of 3D printing technologies is gained.
