Day 1: Theory

  • Introduction to additive manufacturing technologies
    • Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)
    • Multi-jet fusion (MJF)
    • Selective laser sintering (SLS)
    • Selective laser melting (SLM)
    • Stereolithography (SLA) / Digital Light Processing (DLP)
    • Polyjet
  • Quality assurance and influencing factors in additive manufacturing
  • Design guidelines for the additive process groups
  • Practical examples for industrial application


Day 2: Practice

  • Extensive guided tour through the industrial production facilities of Rapidobject GmbH
  • Insight into the work preparation of different 3D printing processes
  • Learning about post-processing steps for finished products using different processes

General information about the 2-day course:

The training offers the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge about additive manufacturing technologies and is divided into two parts: Theory and practice. Both parts can be booked together or separately.

Course overview

Various additive manufacturing processes are presented on the theory day.including their advantages and disadvantages. In addition, participants will receive information on the creation of 3D files, print preparation and process-related quality influences along the value chain. Practical examples will illustrate the current state of the art and the potential of the technologies. The practical day offers insights into the industrial production facility of Rapidobject GmbH. Participants can experience the entire process chain live and ask questions to experts.
